Dear Fragrance Friends,

The passion and commitment of Sniffapalooza to celebrate the art of fragrance has been taking us all over the world, and we're excited to tell you that our latest scented journey will be to Germany! And in true Sniffapalooza style, we are collaborating on a Fragrance Fair there that will pay homage to many of the niche and classic fragrance lines that we love so much. We are extending an invitation to all Sniffapalooza members to come and join us - read on for all the fragrant details!

Our partner in this venture is Annekathrin Koch, who works in PR and trade shows for the lifestyle, beauty & fragrance industries, and who was inspired by our Sniffapalooza group when she came to Sniffapalooza Fall Ball last October. Many of you may have met her! The passion, comraderie, and knowledge of our members and the impact that we have had on the fragrance industry gave her the idea for this project.

The Fragrance Fair we are working on with Annekathrin's team is in Duesseldorf & Cologne on March 20-22 and will be the first of it's kind - a merging of industry, retail, media & consumers! Sniffapalooza is very excited to be a part of it and to help spread awareness of the pleasures of fragrance.

We have a strong following in Europe, and especially in Germany, so this is a great opportunity for us to meet some of our global members and share our enthusiasm with new ones while connecting with our industry friends and scouting out what's new and happening in fragrance. We've also planned several interactive seminars, workshops, and panels as part of the fair, because we really believe in the constant quest for knowledge. Five we are we are working on right now are with Symrise/Thorsten Biehl, Serge Lutens/Shiseido, Yves Saint Laurent/Opium, Lancome/Tresor, & Chanel Germany.

Chandler Burr will be coming as a guest speaker, and our friends Silvio Levi, Vero Kern and Andy Tauer will be joining us, too. And more are joining the fair roster every day!

We're thinking of this as a huge brainstorming olfactory summit that will give maximum exposure to many of the wonderful fragrance lines that may be getting lost in this overcrowded market. And with the
fragrance business hurting right now, to us the great response we've had is a ray of hope that everyone wants to be pro-active and survive this economic set-back.

Some of the participants are Parfums Montale, Mark Buxton, Keiko Mecheri, Humiecky & Graef, Histoires de Parfum, Linari/Rainer Diersche,Les Parfums Suspendus,  MM Fragrance Group, Ulrich Lang/Anvers, James Heeley/Heeley Parfums, Symrise, Chanel Germany, Serge Lutens/Shiseido, Npassion,  Frederic Malle, Prestigio Parfums & Kosmetik, Parfums M. Micallef, Hiroko Kondo, AQABA, Bois 1920, Odori, Profumi di Firenze, Hierbas de Ibiza, Manuel Canovas, Menard, Campos de Ibiza, Ineke, Mona di Orio, Canali, Fleur de Bach, Emeshel, Parfums DelRae, Caroline Ilaqua of Teo Cabanel, Parfums MDCI, Georg Wuchsa/First in Fragrance, Von Sierstorpff - The Scent of a Gentleman, GmbH, Ebner Verlag and much more.

This is a entirely planned three days. Besides the fair activities there are meals & cocktail parties where the networking and sharing of ideas and resources continues!

We have the support of the Fragrance Foundation in Germany, COSPAR (association of perfumeries), Frank Schnitzler - legendary industry expert in trade and perfumeries, Intercontinental Hotels, Brigitte Magazine, b2b Magazine, and The German Association of Cosmetic Products. There is also another important trade show starting the next day, March 23, called Beauty, so Duesseldorf will be filled with fragrance and beauty industry folks for several days. So many possibilities for fragrance enthusiasts and industry personnel to network & make connections!

We are also planning a day trip to Cologne to visit the 4711 factory & the Museum of History of Fragrances (Johann Maria Farina), and  a stop at the Cathedral of Cologne. We are totally jazzed about this! Additionally, there will be time in Duesseldorf for shopping at participating perfumeries and stores. Plus, all kinds of special perks and surprises!

Annekathrin's team has created special all-inclusive, discounted travel packages, as we have members travelling from the US as well as from all over Europe.

If you are interested in finding our more about this phenomenal weekend, and perhaps joining us... please write to Annekathrin Koch at a.koch@pentacom.de and her team will send you out the full information attachment complete with airline & hotel information as well as a detailed schedule of the entire weekend.

Looking forward to sniffing with you in Germany!

Viva La Sniffa, Baby!
